I have a full-size 1987 Ford Bronco. The condition is real good. Right now, it has 33" by 15" tires. Im looking for suggestions of good motors for it. I live next to the mountains and want a strong engine to be able to climb up them. Any suggestions?
Right now I have a 302 but I plan on putting in a 351w or 351HO(don't know if thats possible yet). From what I hear the 351w is the way to go. Good luck in your search.
if u want a 351w i got one u can take for 50 bucks as long as u can come and get it when it was pulled outta the truck it ran. id recomend atleast taken the heads off n makin sure everything is kool, n maybe lookin at the crank but let me know cause i got no use for it. theres pictures in my gallery of it
Anyone live in Idaho, or know somewhere in Idaho where i could go about getting a 351w? And if anyone has any spare parts for a Bronco, that would be great. Such as a rear window motor, passenger side seat belt, and possibly a stronge alternator.
check your local wrecking yards for parts. thats what i did and found a 95 roller cam 351w with 86k miles for 850. complete motor. i yanked out my tired 302 and droped in the 351w with little to no problems.
stroking a motor is a good way to go but if your motor is efi then you have some changes that would need to be made. 85bronco's motor is carbed so he doesnt have to worry bout that.
