Hi guys! First I have to say that this site rocks! I have learned more about my soon to have new truck than I know what to do with. Thanks for all the good information!
I ordered a '02 F250 CC 4x4 Lariat(Arizona Beige with Black two-tone) with the V10 and all the options (except the Power TakeOff provision and the SnowPlow package, just don't get much snow in NC! ) on December 10th and the dealer emailed me today to let me know that the Target Production Week is January 14th and I should have delivery sometime between the 1st and 14th of February. This is the first vehicle that I have ever ordered and I don't know what questions I should ask from here. Is there anything that I need to stay on top of the dealer about or any other stuff I should be looking for? Any advice or comments that you seasoned veterans might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
I've purchased all of my trucks off the lot- so not much help in the way of "experience". I'd suggest a weekly call to the dealership requesting new info- just so they know you haven't forgotten about it. :-)
Get the snow plow package for the better front springs. The springs in the package help the truck sit level and make it easier to mount larger tires. I'm looking at having to retrofit mine and its a lot easier (and cheaper) to get the snow package to begin with.

How much is the Snow-Plow package? (Too late for me but just curious) I'm thinking about having my favorite spring shop add a leaf and re-arch the front springs. All that and an alignment for $350 and some change. They tell me it will stiffen the ride a bit, but I bought a TRUCK not a Lincoln. So I don't care. I don't know what a front-end leveling kit costs either, but I have no time to do this myself. I do need to get rid of the "Stinkbug" look and get that front end up though.
OBTW. In reference to your question about ordering, Do you have a spec sheet, and a Confirmation of your chassis bill? If not you better babysit the dealer and make sure it is right. They do forget things when they go into production.......DON'T let the dealer shame you into taking the truck if it comes in wrong. They will (at least in my case) make it look like it was your fault. I was supposed to get the "Off-Road" package. I realize that it's just a sticker and some skid plates and a steering damper, but nonetheless it's what I ordered. It was too late to change the order, and they wanted to install it at the dealer, but I told them to forget it. Anytime my truck goes into a dealers shop, I seem to get a new scratch or dent free of charge. YOU ARE THE CUSTOMER. Thank you for letting me vent. I don't want to scare you. Your truck will be beautiful
Thanks for the feedback! I wasn't able to add the snowplow package since I needed the camper package. I'll probably add the front springs down the road.
Mine came in sitting 3/4 of an inch high on the passenger side. Measured at the right front fender especially. I'm still sore about it as all they will offer to do is shim up the low side. I can just imagine how that would look when they got finished. Probably wouldn't be a gap anywhere that was parallel. Doors probably wouldn't even shut right. I turned down their generous offer.
Good luck with yours.
