I've heard through some friends that because of the extended warranty coming with the diesel engine that a dealer MUST change your oil in your powerstroke for a certain length of time.
Any truth to this? I really do not want to have a dealer charge the crap out of me for a darn oil change every 5 thousand k's!
I hate dealer service and if this is the case I will toy with the idea of having a mechanic friend forge receipts.
As far as I know if you keep a service record of when you changed your oil in a log book Ford has to honor the waranty.....but what do I know I own a gasser....
