gas tank??

gas tank??
can anyone tell me if a side mount tank from an 83 short bed will fit into an 82 long bed? is the filler neck and tank straps in the same place?

If it is a 19 gallon tank, it -should- fit, but if it is a 16 gallon tank, no.

being in the' use what you got' part of the country, i think that if you transfered the fill/vent hose setup from tank to tank,and were creative with the straps , it may in fact ,work, and quite well ,good luck,bob
