Read the instructions on the new manual hubs. I think there is a big 'ol fat toothed washer on the autohubs that gets left out when installing manuals. Its been a while since a converted teh F250 and my Bronco has a completely different type of autohub than either of the 2 pictured here. I'm not familiar with anything from the factory of Fords newer than 1998.

The three bolts can be dirrectly convertd to manual hubs, or the five bolts need a convo kit. I had the 5 bolt auto hubs, but I switched to manual this weekend.
why do you want auto, they arent reliable...The past 4 or 5 times Ive been wheeling, they didnt work, but did at my house when I repacked them with grease, or even replaced the bearings and springs...

I didn't see anyone on this thread that said the want autohubs. Warn Premiums are the ticket or even regular Warn and Mile Marker.

Oh, sorry, I thought the original poster wanted to go from5 to 3 bolt auto hubs for some unknown reason.
My auto hubs were Ford, which are made by Warn for Ford, and they didnt work after I repacked them with grease.
On the Conversion kit I was saying that to go from 5(auto)-3 bolts (manual), you do need the kit.
Sorry for the lack of info to prevent any confusion...

No, I sure dont want to switch auto Hubs. I will being going to manual Warns. But thats a couple lines down my list. I was more just curious because I havent heard much about them.
Yea RLH, thats them. I had my right side hubs repacked due to a front end problem a few months ago, and the drivers side a couple of weeks ago for the same problem, different side.
Going for a new front differential before I worry about the hubs. Gotta loose that open diff.
