Part of the off road package is the addition of the sticker under the 4X4. I like the look if you want it make them put it on. YOU PAID FOR IT !!!!!!!!!!!
ok to help here a little, the trucks with the "off road" package will say "4x4 off road". except the f350drw, there is not enough room for the "off road" below the 4x4 bc of the rear fenders on a drw truck. so all you got were skid plates. for the gas tanks, short bed trucks have the small tank and long bed trucks have the big tank. does not matter what cab, the tank is under the front part of the bed. as for the low fuel light comeing on so soon with that much fuel left. they did that for my wife so after she runs it until the light comes on and tells me to go fill it up, i can still make it to the fuel station.
The plug for your block heater is behind the grill, on the right side, as you are looking at the front of the truck. If you use a good flashlight look in at about a 45 DEG angle to the right side. It will be bunched up and tied together. It will look like a big knot about the size of your fist. Hope this helps.
To find mine, I reached in and grabbed the wiring just behind the driver's side fog lamp (the lower hole in the front bumper, if you don't have fog lights).
On '01 gas models the block heater is an option. It's standard on diesels.
Click on "Gallery" under my name to the left of this post. Once there click on "Big Red". Photo 4 is a closeup of my heater plug.
Note that it is located directly behind the vertical grey plastic molding between the driver's side hook and fog lamp. Mine feeds in from the top and is tie-strapped to another wire bundle.
If this closeup & description can't talk you onto it, your dealer should find it or refund your money since it was on the sticker...
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I found the plug!
Edmo and LW555 thanks for the pics, they did the trick.
Ford sure didn't make that easy to find. Mine is behind the right fog lamp. I reached in and could feel a zip tie and what felt like the plug. I couldn't get my hand in that good because of the license plate holder. So I popped the hood under the 4 screws on the top of the grill, pulled the grill down, reached in and confirmed it was the plug. I then took a utility knife, reached in, cut the zip tie, then pulled the plug out near the fog lamp. Nice of Ford to give you so much slack.
Well, you guys solved all my questions. Thanks a million.

I too have a 2002 F250 SC 4x4 Lariat Auto 3.73 LS V-10.
I have the off road package and did receive the 4x4/off road stickers, which I had the dealer's body man remove with a heat gun.
