Loose Steering

Hey everyone. I am having trouble with the pickup in my sig. The steering has become very loose. I checked out the tie-rods and they look ok.

could be the gear box. If it anything like the late 70's gear boxes, they have an adjustment.

Where is the adjustment at on them? I will take a look at it. I saw that it was a little low on power steering fluid, which could maybe have something to do with it.

well, on my 78, there is a screw coming out the top of the box. It is threaded, and has a nut on it, loosen the nut and turn in the bolt until out feel resistance, then back off a 1/4 turn. Make sure the front tires are straight and you are on somewhat level ground. Thats for a 78 though, i do not know about the new gear boxes, i would imagine they have not changed much.
