Question Compressing Caliper Piston with 4AWBS Concern

I have heard that when replacing front brake pads the compressing the caliper pistons with 4 four ABS can cause damage to the ABS system. I heard you need to 'crack' the brake bleeder to relieve the pressure. Anyone have any experience on this???

Clamp off your rubber brake line, open the bleeder, and push the piston in. What you want is for the old fluid to go out the bleeder and not back up the line, putting dirt into the ABS. Top off the master when done. I believe brake systems (especially ABS) now are recommended to be flushed either yearly or every other year. The fluid gets old and dirty and burnt ( which lowers the boiling point). The LAST thing you want in ABS is dirt. The other system is more forgiving. Them modules run upwards from about a grand and having it flushed once in a while is pretty cheap insurance in my book.
