Frame up restoration?

Has anyone in the KC area done a fame up restoration on their truck? If anyone has, what advice would you have?

I would say Have a good place to work on it , were your not having to move it around all the time. A good set of tools, and LOTS of time . Time and money seem to be the big thing .

I wish I would have had the time/space to do a frame off on mine. I paid too much for a bad paint job and the underside looks pretty bad. I plan on doing it myself next time.

I have the garage space, since I had a garage built just to house my pickup. I have time, small amount of budgeted money and most of the tools, however I have never attempted such a project before and don't want to make any major mistakes. However I know I will learn as I go, hopefully without too many screw ups.
Thanks guy for the response!

Take lots of notes. Write everything down. If you have a digital camera, take lots and lots of pictures. If you have a regular camera still take a bunch.

Make little diagrams of everything. Buy a shop manual (this is a must)

Whenever I take bolts off that will be off for a while, I put them in a ziploc bag and label the bag as to what they are.

Search the forums for answers to your questions. If you don't find them ask. People here are very knowledgable (I'm not one of those) and helpful.

If you think you will remember where that part went, you won't.
Take your time and have fun.
