SD for Ex Grille Swap

SD for Ex Grille Swap
Any of you Super Duty folks want to swap grilles for an Excursion grille? I own an '00 Ex with 14,000 wife driven miles. No problems with grille, I just don't like the look. I could take pics if you want.

mike... where do u live? is your grill the type that the inserts pop out? i would be interested if that is the case since i will be getting a billet grill one of these days and would rather have the pop outs as the X's have vice having to cut my grill inserts out?

I'm in Crystal Lake, IL, about 1hr NW of Chicago.
IIRC the last time I pulled the grille off it is one piece just like the SD grille. I'll check again. FWIW new the Ex grille is $210 vs the SD grille at $177.

I took it off again last nite. The center and side grille sections are snapped in. I took some pics. I'll email them to you when I'm home tonite.

Not to butt in but...
If you decide you don't want to trade through the mail and would be willing to meet around say Indianapolis or Nashville IN, I could meet you there and do a swap. We'll just make a day trip of it and tour the town. I'm from the Mason, Ohio area. I thought I had someone interested in Jacksonville, but have'nt heard from him lately.

I'm a little leery of trading thru the mail. Most of my fear is with shipping (damage, packing and cost). I think abendx has first dibs if I go thru with it.
I doubt I'd drive that far to swap. It would cost too much in food, time and gas
BTW I have some good pics of the Ex grille and how the panels clip together.

If it does not have any major scratches in the plastic chrome, I would be interested, I have a grille off my 99 SD with about 5,000 miles on it. Pending no ice storms or snow storms or mechanical breakdowns with my Caddy. I will be in Des Plaines Feb. 9th at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center. (International Motorcycle Show

SD for Ex Grille Swap
Too bad for me. I have an '00 SD that I would love to swap grilles with you. However, I have a Sterling "S" oval over the Big Blue on my grille and it won't come off. I don't think you want the Sterling logo on your Exc. and I want to keep the logo for my SD. Damn!
