Did you replace the IPR at the same time and are you sure you got the little tin nut back on the IPR good and snug? Also, how is your oil level and how many miles since the change out?
Ok, got it. Did you set it up with a gauge or just take a guess. If you pressure is to high, you could be ruining you pump. Don't think that would cause all of your problem, but could be some if you have pressure loss or fueling problems.
That number is at best a guess, you may have cause a restriction or an excessive pressure problem. I would never start shimming your return unless you have a gauge to go by. You may have already had your 65psi and now you are at 85psi or more. It's just a guess at best. Remove the edge, remove the bb, check the nut on the IPR as it sometimes get stripped by someone that don't know it is very cheap and strips easy, check all your connections and oil level. Give it a go and see how it does. You can start adding stuff back until problem returns and then you will know.
Alright I did a search and I came up with a bunch of stuff so basically I'm good. I already put my chip in and went out for a spin. I was out for 20 min. or so to get it all up to temp. then I flicked it up from 50 to 100 and gave 'er hell. I was so busy hanging on (holy crap) to notice when it came on but when I got home the check engine light was on. Checked the codes AGAIN and came up with the same P0603 AND P1211 (ICP not controllable - pressure above/below desired). What the heck - is thing gonna set off my check engine light and throw codes every time I get on the go pedal?? The check engine light stayed off right after the install so I know it's not the connections... Anyone have this crap??
Chad, are you pulling our leg? While I don't post in the SD forum alot, I haven't seen you in while. Is this a test to see who remembers you? If I'm not mistaken you drive one bad *** rig that's modded to the hilt. "Superchips, P1211????" Newby questions...... What gives?
some guy's have said there truck starts bucking and jerking when fuel psi is raised..fuel psi should not be more then 70 psi..some need to lower it to 65psi to 68psi to smooth it back out..
Hey guys, before we start to string Cat man up, check out the original post date, he probably didn't know much them, Leroyc must have found it through a search with the new, improved, more confusing to the new search engine. Chad's post could have been anyone of ours in 2004.
