This is going to sound funny but it's the truth: As for the 6.0 I've never gotten it close to the rev limiter (if there is one) but I have been upwards of 95 mph. Now, on my '01 with the 5.4 I had it chipped and an intake and I made it to the rev limiter several times. And as far as a speed limiter goes I had the truck on the track in Charlotte (yes, Lowes Motor Speedway) and I was doing over 110 mph without hitting the speed limiter. It was a fast laps event that the track puts on on Black Friday. Let me tell you that 100 coming out of turn 2 and trying to stay off the wall is difficult but only half as tough as trying to stay off the wall in the tri-oval coming out of 4. If you ever get the chance, get yourself a POS and head to Charlotte on the day after Thanksgiving and bring a couple of hundred dollars.....
I had the 5.4 there. Imagine the PSD there. I'd have the whole field bunched up as I blew black smoke and tore around that place. That would surely be funny...
My truck still has pilot injection and "supposedly" had the oct flash done before I purchased it, according to my oasis report, but there isn't a recal sticker anywhere on the truck. Either the oct flash didnt do away with mine or maybe wasnt done to my truck. I dunno, my oasis report is posted in my gallery. John
