water drain

I have a 99 psd (Early). I have changed the fuel filter and the oil(Motorcraft). I have heard that there is a valve in the fuel bowl to drain the water that is collected. Can anyone give directions or at least the location of the valve?

Thanks
Barnzey

Bottom of the fuel bowl, just slightly on the passenger side. Yellow handle, turn 90 deg. to drain. Put 24" of 5/16 I.D. fuel line on the drain tube and direct the waste fuel into a container or it, about a quart, will get all over you and the driveway. I put a clamp on mine and just leave it hanging there. Best to drain the bowl when you change fuel filters. Look inside and clean out any debris left in the bottom of the bowl.

Good luck.

It's good practice to drain the bowl on a regular basis, I do mine every other fuel fill. Oneof6 made a good point about putting a hose on the drain tube it helps to keep the fuel off you, your driveway, the frame, engine block, axle. I learned that the hard way a week after I bought my truck, and did the same thing he suggested. Enjoy.
