Yep I use this as well, WAY better than wax that would evaporate quickly in the hot sun. The other product that has come out recently and is very close to Zaino is Blackfire.
Hey Heat Stroked... You should take a look at a car detailing supplier called Griots at www.griotsgarage.com They have some cool products especially their clay system. It is a special pad that goes on an electric orbital buffer and you insert the clay right in it. You must use some speed shine with the clay. Cleaning and buffing a crew cab is a big job. You might enjoy some 120 volt help. They also have a great catalog.
Originally posted by Quadzilla I'll admit to being a little behind the times when it comes to waxing a truck. I've never tried any of the multiple step systems: clay bar, special cleaner, special wax, etc. Are the results that much better than conventional waxes?
Bricot, I have the 52page report in hand. Loooking for specific info?? 01f350, always welcome new clients, email me for more info and references if interested.

Curious how they formatted the report - did they test all wax's and sealants together? I'm interested to see how they rated Zaino and Blackfire ...
Also interested to see if they liked the sealants better than the waxes ... which would go along with my experience.
I waxed my PSD three times last year with the Meguiars Gold Class and it beads like crazy. Held up well. No sheeting though.
Meguiars just sent me a sample of some new stufff, NXT series of waxes and protectants. Look interesting. Polymer bonding or some crap. May have to try it too.
Ratings were as follows- 1- low priced carnauba waxes, 2- moderately priced carnauba waxes, 3-premium priced carnauba waxes. A seperate testing was done on synthetic waxes. All of the above were graded and rated to the following: Durability (tested for a period of 8 weeks) Ease of use both application and buffing. Product availability and performance(amount of beads, bead size, shine, gloss, depth, clarity, reflectivity, slickness, color enhancement, overall impression.) Blackfire was rated C+ and Zaino was rated A-.
Cool thanks Bender97250,
I really like the Zaino Show Car products, it doesn't attract dust like a wax and doesn't evaporate on a hot surface like wax ...
Just finished the spring cleaning of my PSD. It si blinding white in the AZ sun.
I used Dawn dish soap and water to remove the old wax, then used the Meguiar's clay bar and fine cut swirl remover to get a squeaky clean surface and finished with the Collinite wax.
It really turned out good and only took a day to do.
Anxious to see how it holds up out here in the sun and with multiple washings.
