My 12 step program for a clean PSD!
John
I use a dot of dawn dishsoap in about 2 gallons of water, lather, rinse, claybar the vehicle completely, wash again with dawn (very small dot of dawn, new clean bucket + clean mitt). Dry, be sure vehicle is not in direct sunlight to apply wax, I apply Klasse AIO (All in One), for a cleaner + first layer (be sure to always use side to side motions never waxon-waxoff, think of it as going with the air flowing over your vehicle), I then apply Klasse sealer glaze after that. Then repeat Klasse sealer as many times as you can in an evening or until your arm says eneough. I also use multiple buckets for washing, one bucket with the soap and a seperate bucket to get the dirt and grime off the wash mit before dunking back into the soap.
You can get multiple layers with this sealer, not just 1 layer of wax. Being a Polymer it allows you to "stack" layers of wax for added protection from elements unlike a carnuba based wax. I try to put on atleast 10 coats of wax before I am done. This way when the bird in the sky drops a load in your wait, on your paint the acid from the dropping hopefully wont eat completely down to your clearcoat before you can attend to it. I have been using Klasse on all of my vehicles and I have nothing but good things to say about it so far. I hear Zanio is a similar product, but I haven't gotten around to trying it yet. Klasse AIO and Klasse Sealer Glaze are both polymer waxes. I have stopped using carnubas because of the breakdown. I have left my T-Bird in MD (engine buildup) for a year now without having to re-wax, looks just like I waxed it.

It's a real PITA to remove, and it takes all friggin day just to do a little Mustang, but the results are unbelievable. Looks like you could dip your hand down into the paint it's so deep.
Good stuff.

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
I have read that Dawn strips all the wax off and gives you a clean waxless base to start with.
Cookie,
Last time I was at Table Rock I did my diving certification. Lots of scary crap under their, lots of trees, fishing line and darkness.
(Yeah, can you believe it? Became a certified diver on a Midwestern Lake).
I was too lazy to drive around town to find it.
Ordering on line is so much easier and convenient.
I may get started this weekend but we have friends coming in though, hey, great idea, a wax party!
I'm headed to Vegas today, Earnhardt Jr. want me to brush him up on a few tips begore he races this weekend. I told him he needs a 7.3 in that old Chevy, hahahahaha
I live in NEPA, where is your shop located? I usually do it myself clay bar, Meguiars polish, and gold class wax, but a black crew cab, long bed is a PITA. I would like to get it done by a pro in the spring. Don't worry your Collinite secret is safe with me.
I hear you IowaF250, Black is tough to keep clean but it looks mean!
