Joe Cocker is a great listen but the best reaction from a passer-by was when I was parked in front of a Wells Fargo bank before it opened. I was crankin' some Pink Floyd (Division Bell, Track 4). When the bank finally opened I went inside and all of the tellers wanted to know who it was and they loved how clean & crisp the music was.

Way Cool Peppy: Speaking of age... Who's quoting Life Mag in 1969. Were you even old enough to shave then? JB's still a cool head, I like his books and have most of his music. Joe on the other hand, I have what I like and that's enough. He's been around forever 1962 I think was the first time I saw him & his style hasn't changed all that much. He had his breakthrough songs and time in the sun which is cool because he helped so many along their way. The last time I saw Joe live was at Keezar Stadium SF he opened for Led Zepplin along with many others. I think that was in 74 or 75. A very strange concert if I remember correctly.
Old enough to shave in 1969? No way man. I didnt even wet my first diaper till 1970. Sorry. I found the quote in http://www.cocker.com/
The old man made sure I was raised on the right kinda culture. I know more about 60's & 70's music than I do 80's, 90's or today. Sad, but I dont mind. I guess its just ingrained in my head. I dont rememebr stuff till it comes up in conversation.
Several years back, my dad started his classical kick. Thats bad news, so I turned into a Parrott Head. He has surpassed me in the Parrott Head attitude with a complete life change.
Music maybe a window from the soul, but its a doorway in.
Try this out, if you never have........takes me thru the work day. http://radiomargaritaville.com/index.aspx
Its not all Buffett, its a way varied program. Like right now is Frank Sinatra. They have a program guide to help out.
Now you folks can see why the GC Forums are so popular! People helping people. I would never have known about that terrific site if I hadn't been at FTE or if Peppy wasn't here also. Now ain't that great?
Your so welcome. Other than a check, its the only other reason I come to work. I get to sit and listen to Buffett all day or night. Jimmys own radio station has made me a happier person.
Every once in a while you get 28 minutes of Alice's Restaraunt too.
I think having the people send in sets for the Guest DJ program keeps it fresh. I have put together many sets, but have yet to record my hour in attempt to be a guest DJ. Its on my list of things to complete.
My mother had Cerebral Palsy & not a mild case. She was confined to a wheelchair, had limited use of the entire right side of her body, colostomy, catheter, etc. She looked better than Joe on any given day. The Guy is a Party Animal, must be what a mild case of Cerebral Palsy and abuse of chemicals can do to you. JMO
