Hey boys! i was drivin in my new f-150 today, bumpin this joe cocker cd, and these girls were totally checkin me out. maybe it was the truck, but maybe it was the music. you guys ever check him out? just remember the wonder years theme.. or that cheesy "you are so beautiful" song you hear at every wedding. what you all think? yay or nay? c ya!
As in "wonder where I am Joe???
Yea; I've seen him as an opening act a few times in the 60''s/70's. I bet I remember the concerts better than him and I was gonzo
Oceanwave, you have shown your age, not that you saw Cocker in concert, its the term Gonzo I havent heard in so long.
I think Joe Cocker is a trip to watch sing. Although I think James Belushi (Saturday Night Live) looked more like Joe Cocker than Joe Cocker did.
The man has made some great music.
"The voice of those blind criers and crazy beggars and maimed men who summon up a strength we'll never know to bawl out their souls in the streets." Life Magazine 1969
It's been awile since I listened to him.I forgot all about him until you mentioned him.Joe Cocker and The Mad Dog Englishmen.I tend to believe it was your truck.
I think Joe Cocker would be a great singer if he could ever get whatever is in his throat out! Sounds like he is trying to clear his throat the entire time to me.
"You Can Leave Your Hat On"....... crankin' up music for sure. Like Joe alot. Still wonder if the old Saturday Night Live skit where Belushi was imitating Cocker and Joe walks on stage was a put on or not. Still one of the funniest SNL skits ever.
Let me just say he puts an awful lot into his performances. Facial expressions, hand and wrist actions…singing does not look to be an easy task for him, certainly not as effortless as most singers. I do like his old music nonetheless.
Hmmm sounds like a job for kazaa, never heard of cocker. I'd say that it was the truck, I saw a new one today and I had to wipe my drool off my chin. -wb
