Why is it called a top loader
Why is it called a top loader 4spd in the cars like mustangs and Fairlanes. Because I say one the other day (well I thought it was one) and it had linkages on the side kind of like the ones on my 3 spd. I know the truck tranny's bolt right into the tranny on the top so why are they not called top loaders. I know this is gonna be an easy question for all of you, but it has been drivin me crazy trying to figure it out.
