Was interested in getting some Bed Rail protectors for the '98 Ranger. Problem is my dealer said they don't make them for my truck . As far as I know the new Ranger's and my 1998 share the same bed, am I wrong? Does anyone know if there are specifically made ones for my truck or if the new ones will work?

when i first got my 99 ranger i tried to find the aluminum diamond plate long bed with stake hole rail caps and i was told they dont make em. if you go to some of the catalogue companies they have aftermarket ones i dont know if www.lund.com would have them either. Pep Boys also sells stuff like that too although i try to avoid places like them

 

I don't know if they will fit or not, but I have a set of bed rails that I removed in order to put a cap on my 2002. If you want them, I'll make you a sweet deal.

Bushwacker should make them, i have them on mine, and they are nice. your talking about the usually plastic pieces that go over the top of the sides and tailgate of the bed right (bed caps) not the metal tubes that go from one stake pocket to anoter right?

 

Not suure what bed you got, but if you're looking for the "Edge" type bed rail caps, they only fit on short beds.
