bed rail protectors for 79??help

Does anyone know what companies make diamond tread aluminum bed rail protectors for the old body styles (73-79). I found DeeZee ones, but they are not wrap around on the ends... I'm looking for wrap arounds. I've seen trucks with them before, but never got the chance to ask the driver where they came from. I'm wondering if maybe they use the ones for the 80's body style, and make them work?? I want a nice fit!! Please help!!

Also looking for a pair of nerf bars... Can't find them either. Anyone know if bars from other trucks will bolt up with slight mods??

I have a long bed.

I have a set, but I dont know who made them, they are available with or without stake holes. I got them at a local truck supply store.

on edit, they do appear to be deezee, but I dont have a part number

Good luck on finding a set of nerf bars, you will probably have to get a set for a newer model and adapt them to fit with some fabrication. I have yet to see a company make a set for our model of truck's.

Finding the bed cap's might be hard as well, after all it is a body style that went out 25 year's ago.

That is odd, the 80-up changed the top "flange" to a more squared off or flat version than our curved style.

I see the deezee site offers wrap side ones for 80 and up, but not for 73-79. Maybe I'll get a set and try them.

I took them off my 97 F-350, and put them on my 73 F-250 perfect fit except for the full-tailgate cover, I had to bend the lip a little more for the 73-79 tailgate.
