J C Whitney has a front cab mount repair panel for $29.00..they look nothing like the stock body mount? they do not make factory replacement mounts anymore for the 61 but i have found some aftermarket mounts.they are same length though and i was told original mounts had one longer than the other.was thinkin about trying these mounts from J C Whitney? I have seen those before and I believe they will fit from '65-'79. I used '74 cab mounts on my '66 and they fit well altho had slightly diff stampings, angles and dimmer switch location. The '61-'64 used a completely diff cab mount from what I have seen. I looked at a '65 that did not have the same mounts as my'66!

 

Thanks..I know the 61-64 are different..how bout this,someone told me they thought the aftermarket cab mounts just fit over the originals and you didnt have to cut them out..any truth to this?Thanks for all you guys help on this..this is a great place to get help.you guys know your stuff..Tom

 

The 61-64 mounts are very different from the 65-79's. The only place I know of that sells nice ones is Carolina Classics in NC. Might give them a try. Good luck,
