gas guage
Now, if your custom cab has sweep speedo, then the guages are different I think. And the custom stuff is always harder to nab. It is possible (though this is NOT my area) that you replace the gas gauge in a CC with a later gauge from a 67-72.
Finally, are you SURE its the gauge and not the sender? Go to the tank, pull off the center wire from the sender and short it to something. The gauge should go to full. If it does, you have a sender problem. If it doesn't, you should still take apart the dash, and ground the terminal that the orange wire attaches to on the gauge. If it goes to full then, then you have a bad wire going back to the fuel tank. If it still doesn't show, then you are probably looking at a bad gauge, assuming the other guages are working. If the other stuff is misbehaving, maybe your Constant Voltate Regulator is out.
Good luck.
