Gee, if you lived close, I'd consider trading. I think I have V-code.

The springs are "S" through "X", S being the softest, X being the hardest (could be more past X, Y/Z?)

I have the T springs (heavy service suspension) and they are decent in a SC SB 4x4 F250 with Rancho 9000x's set to 7 out-of 9.

My truck has already settled an inch or so, over 17K miles, since I got it new in '02.

I wonder if you should just drive it for a while until they settle and see what they are like at that time? Otherwise, find someone who wants to trade on here... I'm sure someone would be willing to give you a set of lighter springs in return for the X springs

My doorjamb sticker says XY for the spring rating. Anyone ever seen anything like that?

If you guys want to talk trades or selling, please do it OFF the boards.

By V-10Tritoni don't know anything about this abc exy nonsence.
If you search the Excursion Forum, you'll will find the Spring Chart that all front springs are coded by.

The Heavy Service springs are different on a Crew Cab, than say a Regular Cab....for example

Exactly. My "heavy service" springs are T 's in the front. But it's only a SB SC, so it's one step up from the S in my case.
