Oil stabilizer question
Has anyone ever used Oil Stabilizer? If so, does it work? I saw an ad for Lucas Oil Stabilizer and thought I might try it.
It would be going in my 1979 F-350 that has a 400.

I use Lucas and i am pleased with it .The reason I use it is many mechanics i talk to recommend it . Ihavebt seen any reports myself on it on how it works . My opinion and yes "opinion" is that its great.

its been argued about extensively on here. i use it on a pickup that has over 225000 miles on it and it seems to extend the drain interval and keep the gaskets from seeping and keep oil pressure up, and reduce engine noise. could u get the same results by using 20w50 or fleet 15w40 oils? probably. personal preference i suppose, but a lot of people get good results with it on older high mileage engines.

IMO, oil additives in general are, at best, a waste of money.
