Does anybody have those window deflectors on a newer Super Duty? do they keep the rain out with the windows cranked down 2" or 3". Which is better tape on or snap in window track. Does all the water that comes off the cab and comes thru the window and straight onto locks/window switches/mirror control hurt them? What happen to gutters like the older trucks? Maybe just a Better Idea.
I hear ya on the drips into the switch panel and although I've never had a problem it can't be good for them. I had the smoke plastic ventshade stick-on's on my 150 and they were great. However I have not gotten around to putting them on the 250 yet because here in So. Cal rain is hard to come by.
i had problem with mine. the way they slide under the mirror. they were bowing out in the middle and peeling off the truck (this is on a black truck in 100 degree heat)
i had to take the dremel and cut down the bottom to make it not fold under the mirror, but stop at the mirror.
now i get the drips on my switch panel when my sindow is cracked
i like my vent visors, but they are usless to me (because i'm too cheap to buy new ones).
if they were like new i'd love them. they really help out in the summer
mine clip in to window track no problem with 2,3 in open in rain.it pulls the smoke right out. at 1st my pass window was hard closing but after a few times it was fine
IMO the only thing that belongs in the window track is the window. My Bro bought me a set of those for X-Mas and I put them in and had a helluva time getting the windows to seat. Lots of road noise also. During a road trip I accidently rolled down the rear pass window and the thing nearly fell out! I promptly returned them to the dealer and voiced my opinion of them. The guys said "Huh, I never had anyone have a problem with'em" Well...heres your first pal. I bought the stick on ones....fits like an OJ glove...
I have had the Weathertech (spelling) on two trucks - and they are mounted inside the window channel. I have never had a problem with them and they do keep the water out.

HEY!!! We have a winner. Good on ya. They however didn't work for me. I wish they would've. Its a much cleaner look IMO
Just wondering what brand they were. There are a couple that I know of including EGT. The Weathertech ones are thinner then the EGT ones I have seen. Also, I have them on the front windows only, not on the rear ones.
I stand corrected. It's the EGR ones I saw, and your right - they are alot thicker. The Weathertech ones are just a little bit thicker then 3 pieces of paper together, but pretty strong.
