what i would like is to hear is how you protect your truck, please post legit LEGALS ways to stop some one from stealing and/or breaking into your truck.
Okay heres some of mine
1. fuel line locks, 2, hidden fuel power switches.3 alarm siran mounted inside the truck ,ear peirceing of cource!4.fake blood on the ground next to the truck with a couple of shotgun shells laying in the blood(it might upset the police alittle, but might scare theives
A good watch dog and motion detector lights are a couple for your home.Taking your watch dog with you when possible works well too.1,2,and 3 are good also.
First you need to go to put about a dozen car batteries in your back seat. Then you wire them together in series. then you send one side to the springs in the drivers seat and the other side through a hidden switch and to the springs. If someone sits down without turning off the switch then you get a free sunroof.
I heard a good one from somebody on FTE a while back - either he or a friend superglued razor blades on the back of his sterio before they installed it - as this person was having a tough time keeping the sterio in the truck - a while later they found the truck broken into once again with blood all over inside and the sterio still hanging in the dash. I got a real good kick outa that one!! I would just hate to clean up the blood, but it sounds like they left his truck alone after that!!
Razor blades that's rough, but guess it worked. I'd like to have a good alarm on it and a fuel kill switch in a weird place so a thief couldn't find it. -wb

That would be a buddy of mine several years ago that had this problem with stereo theft until the razor blades were installed . Sometimes the best justice doesn't require a cop.
I know people that have used the razors on the back of the radio, it is effective. Plus, when you see a person walking around with their hand all wrapped up then everyone in the neighborhood knows who to start beating when things disappear.
I think the best anti-thief device is a hydraulic brake lock from brakelock.com. Read/search about it in Aftermarket Products. The best thing to do is set the lock and set your parking brake. That way people think the parking brake is stuck!
I bought a nice alarm from autoloc.com. The siren stinks, loaded with ice and cracked, but, the wiring itself, the instructions, and the alarm itself is pretty good.
Chain your hood down and padlock it. That can prevent many problems.
