Oilguard location

I Just got my oilguard by pass. Where should i put the bracket pfor this thing. Any recommendations would be most helpful. I was thinking of up by the full flow, but the dive shaft for the four wheel wheel drive might get in the way. Please help me.

I dont know about the oil guard system, but I have my fs2500 on the outside of the frame under the driver door, connected by high pressure lines to the filter area. I would also imagine there would be instructions included with the filter assembly for the oil guard. There is my nickle . Good luck.

I'm going to install mine where the photos show on their website when it gets here (shipped today). A friend of mine installed his in the left wheel well. I'm not sure if that was a good spot though.

I installed mine horizontally on the inside of the frame rail on the drivers side. Mine is a 4 x 2 but you should have the same holes in the frame. Within 18-24" of the high pressure outlets.

I fabricated an "L" type bracket to mount the Oil Guard bracket too.

When you mount them horizontally is it messy to change the filter cartridge? Mine should be here today or monday.

No, the mount that I fabricated moves the filter 2 inches away from the frame rail, so it wont leak onto that.

Sure, you'll have to break it open and thread the cover a bit and let the oil it run out a bit before totally removingjust like your normal filter.

I just couldn't find a place to mount the Oil Guard vertically and have room for the hoses and not pose a potential ground clearance problem.
