Wiring question...

Brake light wasn't coming on when headlights were on, so I replaced the right rear socket and that fixed that issue. HOWEVER, it caused another issue.

Now, when I use the right turn signal it flashes both sides, but the left still works correctly. I'm not sure where to start looking, can anyone help? Please feel free to email me direct at: tonia72@earthlink.net

What vehicle was this on? And what engine/transmission do you have?

This was on a 1979 Ford F150 Explorer with a 460 engine. I'm unsure of the transimission.

Brake lights are NOT supposed to illuminate when the headlights are on.

The running or park lights should come on instead.

Perhaps the pigtail is reversed?
