Spools, mini or reg.

Hi, I might want a spool in my ride Question ? Mini or reg spool fit in a 9" rear ! how will a spool - when backing up is harder or will it back up OK ! Going in F-100 cc sb 390 stroked C-6 trans. Plan on using 3.91 gears or 4.11

Given the choices, I'd go with a full spool. There is nothing to break. With a mini you have the cross pin as the weak point. In the long run, the full spool will be more reliable.

Backing up won't be any different than going forward.

backing will be OK.....it'll be just like you put it in drive and go forward... the only place you'll have trouble is turning corners while driving. it'll squeel tires since both turning at same speeds.

Do you know a good place to buy spools & gears.
