'87 F150 identification
I am trying to find a VIN decoder that I know used to be here but can't seem to locate it so maybe someone here can help.
I have the oppertunity to get an '87 F150, straight body but overheating and I'm trying to do my homework before I spend my money. The truck is sitting, no key and I'm told that it was overheating when parked. I checked the radiator fluid and it looks low. Guess when I find a key, I'll start from there.
My problem is with the VIN codes. I think the motors a 302EFI, the 8th digit of the vin is a N. I don't remember where to find the decoder. Also, the axle is 18 and the trans is K.
Can anyone tell me more about these codes I've posted.

VIN code N is a 302 V8. Axle 18 is a 3750# 3.08 ratio. Transmission code K is the C6 automatic.
The VIN doesn't really tell a whole lot you don't already know, other than where it was manufactured. The codes from the door jamb sticker tell more.
