Vin Decoding information

Good evening I just joined this evening,

I was given a 1987 F-250 that my father-in-law purchased brand new. The vehicle currently has over 300,000 on it so I'm going to start working on it very soon. I'm trying to decode the vin number, but I'm running into a problem. The model, cab, chasis type of my vin does not match with anything I can find. My vin indicates F34, unfortunately I can"t find that code anywhere. I hope that soemone out there can help. Thank you

What exactly are you trying to decode. The vin number or the door tag with all the extra stuff.

Why are you interested in this info. Not much of it is nessisary when fixing the truck.
Or were you just curious.

Thanks guys, the only reason that I'm trying to decode is for curiosity. When I tried to decode it I was able to decode everything except for the body style. So I'm curious why this body style F34 is not coming up, I was unable to find in in the shop manual either. Thanks again!

What Engine is in it? I can't find anything that says what an "N" code engine is, I am also surprised to see it was built in my old home town of the Twin Cities, I thought they only built Rangers there, not full size trucks.

No luck on finding the body code either.
