Before I go out and buy one....
My daughter has an 80 Lincon with a 302 that is FI and an overdrive transmission. According to the owners manual they built the same model with a 351. How much problem would it be to put that engine and drivetrain into a 74 F100? The driveshaft is no problem, I can shorten, or make it longer and change the ends.
according to what ive learned here , if the 351 is a 351w it should just bolt in . you could measure the lengths of the transmissions to find out if the drive shaft needs to be shortened . the only real difference seems to be if thats an electric overdrive , then you will need to hook up the switch for it ,a neet swap would be the steering colum out of the lincoln into the 74 ,good luck.bob
It looks like your 74 has a 352 in it now, then you'll have to find the correct frame stanchions. The 352/360 stanchions will actually work, but the engine will sit too far back and too high (the fan will be mighty close to the top radiator hose and it messes up the driveshaft angles) . You'll also need to get the truck style rubber mounts that bolt to the engine.
