Iver herd that 351W heads will fit a 302 and is a pretty nice combination. Can anyone confirm this?

yes they fit but the recent heads are the same , you have to get older 351 heads to gain (69-75) because they had larger valves and small chambers. the 351 heads have 1/2 in bolt holes while the 302 use 7/16.

so then I will have to drill and tap to 1/2" on the 302 block for the 351w heads to bolt up?

I have noticed on edelbrock's website and other places that alot of the aftermarket heads list up to 95. Would the 351 heads fit a 96 302 without any modifications?

It prolly has to do with emissions. They would need to spend a bunch of money to get them listed as emissions legal in '96 due to the OBDII computer stuff. Physically they will fit, I think.
