I've got a small leak on the transmission cooler. The question that I have is how do I tell what replacement that I need? I checked the autozone page, and it was looking for either 4 passes, 6 passes, or 2/2 passes. What does that mean?
Well off hand I have no idea what type of transmission cooler you have, however the 4 pass, 6 pass... refers to how many times the tube goes through the radiator fins. Bassicaly look at your cooler, and count the number parellel lines the tube forms. I'm guessing it's 4, but I don't know on a 94. Also, is this an automatic or standard?
By the way, the 2/2 is one cooler that has two inputs and two outputs. It's a dual cooler that I thought was only used on smaller engines to cool the oil and the transmission, on engines that are limited on space.
sorry I couldn't be of more help. I would say go with the bigger (6 pass) if you know what your doing you could install it yourself and help drop the temp of your trans fluid a few degrees having a larger cooler. but make sure you have the space for that.
Sorry I couldn't give better info....I looked at the stupid thing again last night and it's the AC condenser not the trans cooler. When I went from the top of the engine to underneath, I was looking at a different pair of hoses. My bad.
