I have a 2003 F250 4x4 crew. What are the biggest tires 31", 33" and the largest wheel (h x w) that I can have on my truck and still leave all the suspension and steering stock? thank you
Just got 16x10 rims with 33" high 12.5 wide on my stock suspension 02' supercab 4x4. Was looking to go 35's, but the tire dealer told me some fender well work may need to be done. Didn't want to be cutting and hacking away down there so I went with 33's. No problems so far. Hope this helps.
I have 285/75's on the stock rims on my truck - if you get the truck twisted up and turn full right or left the tires are pretty close to the rear inner fenderwell. I don't see how 33's would fit on 10" wheels - not on my truck anyhow. The Skyjacker book says that 295/75's are the biggest that will fit stock - but 8" wide wheels are recommended for them
Basically - if you want to be SAFE - 285/75's fit for sure and look better than stockers. If you're a chance taker - go for 33's.
tjwilson, I have 285/75's (which are 33") on 16x8 wheels. I have no rubbing of any kind on my truck. You can look in my gallery if you want to see how the 285's look. Hope this helps

PS, The pic's are before the 2" leveling kit.

Fitter,
How about edit/deleting those pix overwhelmed by shadows and replace them in your gallery with pix without shadows and pix showing off the tires/whees, lift, backup lights, and whatever other add-ons you've done to your truck? Seems a shame to waste the gallery on pix that hardly do such a nice looking truck justice. Come on, wash her up, find a sunny spot on a decent day, and "git-'er-done"!!!!
Let us know when your done upgrading your gallery, so we can see the REAL truck as it sits today
Look forward to it... and Thanks
my new F250 CC 4x4 diesel came with MT 16x10 Fake bead lock wheels and MT Claw tires 305/70 16 from the dealer. No lift, and no rubbing. Looks great too I had 285/75 on my 01 F250 and they rubbed on my Huskey mud flaps in a tight turn only.

You guys really should read the FAQ. It's full of information and will avoid a lot of discussions that have been had about 1000 times already on this board. You can find the FAQ in a "sticky" at the top of the thread list or by clicking the link I just provided.
Here's the excerpt about tires:
Q: What size tires can I run?
A: Below is a chart showing the "recommended" amount of lift needed for the tire size listed. It is possible to run bigger than recommended tires or wider wheels by shimming the front bumper and/or trimming the lower front air-dam. You could also always just put up with minor tire rub on the front inner wheel well when your wheels are turned to full lock. Recommended means that you will have full suspension travel with the list below, if you run larger than recommended, it is possible to damage tires and or sheet metal depending on suspension travel, wheel position and terrain.
No lift : 33x12.50 or 295/75R16
2 inch : 35x12.50 or 305/70R16
3 inch : 35x12.50 or 315/75R16
4 inch : 35x12.50 or 315/75R16
6 inch : 36x14.50
8 inch : 15x38
11 inch : 15x42
