Chip reflashing woes!
I hate to bother you with this problem, but I've been haveing trouble getting my Diablo Delta Switchable chip that I bought in Nov. 02, from you, reflashed for my current vehicle in my sig.
And now I cant seem to get anyone on the phone....
I'll start from the beginning.
In Nov. 02 I bought a Diablo delta custom chip with two custom modes and a stock mode for the Ford Ranger I had at the time.
The chip had worked wonderfully in the Ranger.
In Oct 03 I bought the vehicle in my sig (02 F-150), and pulled the chip out of the Ranger, so that I could put it in my F-150.
Mid. Jan 04, I finally got around to sending in the chip to get it reflashed for my F-150, and upon getting it back, it was not programed as I had specified, and it would not work as per RMA# 75279JR0128, and was resent back in to get worked on.
I finally recieved it back this past Monday, along with the switch cord that I sent in, however I did not recieve a sheet saying what modes were programed into the chip.
Tuesday afternoon I planned to put the chip in the F-150 to see if it worked, but upon leaving the house I noticed a problem with the chip....
I now have a chip that doesnt have a plugin jack for my switch cord....
I think that its just a plain 1 mode chip which is totally useless to me, and is not what I had sent in to begin with.
I'm sorry that I've had to post this post, cause I know how busy you are, but my patience is shot, and frankly I'm very tee'ed off about this.
I would appreciate it if you could send me a email with a phone number that I can contact someone to make this right.
Thank you
Clint Bohnet

I finally got ahold of Jolene this morning, and I explained all the above to her.
I will be sending the chip back in, and it should be there tommorrow.
I'm sorry to bother you with this post.
Thanks!
IMO it really wakes up the 5.4L even more, in the high octane mode.
IMO a chip is really the best and true bolt on that really works, plus you can get them reflashed for other fords as I had with this one.
But, had I not had this Diablo delta chip laying around, I prolly would have looked into a tuner for this F-150.
I really cant say enough about the chip, it really worked well in the Ranger that it was in previously, and really seems to work well in the F-150 right now (I have yet to run more than 1 tank of gas through the chip).
If I get the time, I am really considering taking it to the local dyno shop, and then possibly posting the results...maybe not here, but in the F-150 forum.
