Accelerator pedal sticking.

My 2002 F350 PSD has picked up the interesting habit of slappping my foot with the accelerator pedal. My hand I would understand, but why my foot? Anyway, after depressing the pedal somewhat beyond half way, when I release it, the pedal seems to stick and then "slap" the bottom of my foot. The fuel seems to be lessened normally, ie, the truck slows down normally but the pedal doesn't come all the way back immediately. Weird. Anybody else gettting their foot slapped?

Now that's a new one. Did you check the spring. Maybe it has somekind of bushing that is binding. I've never really paid any attention to the pedal assembly.
