i have been visting some threads about guns and started one about a movie so thats where i got the idea for this. lets see how well you all know which character carrys which gun, it is a little trivia. you will need to know tv and movies pretty well to answer, so lets see if anyone else notices this stuff as much as i do. what make and model gun do these tv and movie characters carry:

james bond- (there have been 3)
axle foley-
manix-
beretta-
thomas magnum-
harry tasker-
vick mackey-

.25 ACP Beretta

FWIW, the Bond PPK in the books (whole lot more guns in there than 3) was always a .32 ACP PPK, not .380

In Dr. No, he had a revolver in the fight with the "Dragon" (flame throwing tank)

James Bond movies sold more PPK's as backups to law enforcement than most folks realized. The films were very good to Walther. Never was real impressed with the PPK's I've had BTW.

I'll pop in with a bit more:

Axel Foley carried a 9mm in the first movie, IIRC. Probably a Beretta 92F, as that was the wondernine of choice when the movie came out (1911 man myself, don't bother memorizing the rest)

Peter Sellars was James Bond in Casino Royale, which was a spoof. George Lazenby was Bond in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" (which by afficianados of the books is considered the "truist" Bond movie).

Sean Connery is by far the best of the Bonds, Roger Moore was my least favorite. Both Pierce Brosnan and Timothy Dalton have also played 007.

Jeff
for extra credit, what did Arnold carry in Total Recall?

Lazenby's is my favorite of the Bond flicks. Sean is the best Bond though.

Didn't see much of George after that one movie. He did have a bit part (as James Bond) in the TV movie "Return of the Man From UNCLE"

You're absolutely right (knew I should have checked). Peter Sellers was in the "Heaven" scene.

I stand corrected on Casino Royale and could not remember Georges first name. It was early and no coffee yet
Arnold in Total Recall was A Dessert Eagle I think
