E-Bay - Look under "clifford" & "offenhauser" Every once and a while you'll find someone who is selling hedder, intake & carb for a 300.

also look under "80-86 ford", "Ford 300", &" Ford 4.9"

Keep looking, a hedder will come up sooner or later some place.

Used go fo about $75 -$100. New $100 - $125.

Pacesetter, Hedman, and Dynomax are on average $140. Hookers are $329, Clifford I don't know, but a lot of people seem to have trouble installing them. Check Summit Racing and Jegs.

No, not that I've got around to putting headers on my 6. But from what I've gathered from also asking this question is they can be put right on, some are said to hit the smog pump bracket, my big problem is my truck is a 4x4 and for some reason they only make them for 2wd, but I e-mailed pacesetter and they said there headers would fit, Hedman said there's wouldn't, so I'll have to make a desicion pretty soon. Either put headers, intake, cam, carb, get the head worked, on my 225K six or do the 351W swap and build that up, my 6 is startin to lose power, so I'm leaning towards 351W right now if I can find a cheap long block.

you won't have a problem if you go to a 351W from a 300-6, unless, of course, you have a stroked, blown, nitroused 1200HP 351w.

I used the factory headers from and 89 300 six according to the flow test's they flow as well as the after market headers and they will last a lot longer. $80.00 salvaged.

wtroger - That's what I hear for low RPM & "daily driver" applications. If you live in a location with a lot of snow & salt - EFI is the way to go.

I have also decided to go with the EFI exhaust manifolds; however, I've had a terrible time with getting a good Walker y-pipe.
