I have a 92 f250 4x4 i cant decide if i want a 6 or 4 inch kit with 35 or 36. i cant seem to find many on the street that are 250's if anyone has any input i would appriciate it
As mentioned, a 4 inch lift will allow you to run 35" tires OK. If you plan to flex your suspension to the limit, then 33's would be a better choice.
If you go with a 6 inch lift, you will probably want to replace the front driveshaft with one that has a CV joint at the transfer case. Shafts from an F-350, along with the F-350's output yoke might work for you.
Skyjacker makes a decent kit for your truck. Superlift is another good one.
I have a 1991 F-250 with a 6 inch lift on it using the stock drive shaft. I was able to fit 38's under it with no body lift! 36's will look a little better with the 6 inch cause they won't be stuffed like mine. But with the 6 inch, you really should get extended braided brake lines.
My 92 4X4 F250 X cab long bed has a 4 " trailmaster lift and 295 75 16 nittos, and it sits fine. I want to put 315 75 16 but it has 3.55 gears, so untill I can afford to swap to some 4.10 she 'll run the 295's
