does anyone know why no company makes full length headers to work with a '94 302 5speed? they say they'll work with the auto but not the manual. has anyone overcome this? what is the big obstacle? i would like to have the full lengths, so any info is greatly appreciated.
The headers are dynomax (P#86054). summit has a good price on them for being ceramic coated. i'm replacing my current 4.9 with a 5.0 so all exhaust is being replaced. want to run true duals, maybe with converters, and somehow retain my stock egr and junk. if its only the line in the way, that would be an easy fix. i'm gonn try the other forum for feedback too. thanks guys!
I have a 92 f 150 5.0 with a 5 speed that I put some flowtech full length headers on and they work fine. I am not sure what the part # is on them but I got them through summit also. They miss the hydralic line by quite a bit.
are the headers you have "emission legal"? were there no fitment problems at all? i just wonder why all the companies tell me that they don't make headers foe my application. any info at all is great.
I had no fitment problems in any way, but no they are not emissions legal. When I asked the sales rep at summit they said they wouldn't work because of the clutch linkage, but as you know these trucks do not have a linkage. So I just went ahead and ordered them anyways and they worked great.
