I disconnect every time I do something to the engine including changing the plugs.
I don't however turn the lights on or anything like that. I will try it and let the battery sit over night tonight.

You can either go to autozone - they will pull codes for free for you. Or, you can use a paper clip and watch the CEL flashing. There are posts here that describe how to do that, or a haynes manual will also have the procedures. If it just started after changing the air intake, I'd start with cleaning the MAF and resetting the computer.
Thanks to eveyone that gave advice. After many different things it is finally gone!
I replaced the plugs, cleaned the throttle body, cleaned the MAF, ran a hose from the vac tree to the intake tube and finally disconnected the battery for about 3 hours.
I test drove this morning and it appears to be gone. I'm sure this will help my fuel and save me from more trouble latter down the road.
Again, Thanks to everyone who helped out. This is an awesome site
Congrats!! I'm sure you will get at least a couple extra miles a gallon now. I'll be adding my own FIPK too and I'll see if I can get up to 20mpg on the highway.
explorereddie,
sorry about the last blank reply.
you know ofcourse you can buy a nice kit for $150+ but this entire set up cost me less than $30. I can give you pics if you like and now I think there is a piece you can buy that will even make it easier.
Good luck.
Welp...installed it over the weekend. Here's a pic:
Had a little trouble installing it because of missing bolts and nuts to attach the MAS and the filter adapter but $0.26 and 4 new bolts, nuts and washers later, it's installed. It's a lot louder and has a lot better throttle response. And it's only $40!!! I love it!!!
