intake noises

I have a 2001 f-150 4x4 supercab with a 5.4 engine. On exelleration I hear a sucking noise in the engine. I've been told by the dealer that it is air being sucked through the intake and that this is a normal noise. It can only be heard at low speeds with the windows closed. Is this type of noise normal with this engine? Thanks.

If it has an aftermarket throttle body, like 75mm then that might be it

Thanks for the replies. This is the second engine for this truck and the first one didn't do it. If anyone has any ideas where I might look I'd appreciate it. I do know that with all the plastic on the engine that any noise would be magnified.

Thanks Again

I would look into the air filter assembly and the air intake tube, It sounds like it may be leaking air somewhere.
Also, just for kicks, check the PCV hose assembly for cracks and a vacuum leak. Especially behind the throttlebody.
