Question Jet Chip

Hello to all Ford Guys
I am new to the web site so any advice would be great. I just got a jet chip off ebay for a good price. I have read some of the forums here and I don't see a lot of good things about them or hardly any for that fact. I have a 2000 F-150 reg. cab flareside with a 4.6L manual trans. with a typhoon air intake and single in- dual out flowmaster. If I made a bad choice by buying the chip, please let me know...I can handle or can anyone give any other experiences with these chips whether good or bad.
Thanks A Lot

The reason you don't see much about them is they use generic tunes that work at wide open throttle only. Of all the chip companies, they are the last I'd recommend --- just about everyone else (except Hypertech) tunes at all throttle positions.

So what would be the best thing to do with the Jet Chip? Just go ahead and run it in my truck or should I try sell it and get a different one. If selling it is your opinion, do you know anyone I can make a deal with to convert to another brand ( Diablo, Superchips, etc. )

I just looked at www.martelbrothers.com and it said the Jet Chips are tuned throughout the powerband and at every 500rpm increments. Is this a lie or false advertising or what? I just thought I would run it by you just in case anyone else out there has read the same thing and thought of the same question.

Its neither nor false advertising the way they word it. After all, if you floor the pedal, don't you go through the entire powerband and all RPMs....?

But what does it do at part throttle?

I can't help with what to do with the Jet chip, sorry.
