Diablo towing update
The Diablo chip did everything Ken said it would do. I shut the OD off and ran 70-75 all the way home and I hardly knew the trailer was back there. It held go up some pretty steep hills and, at 70 mph, turned 2900 rpms.
Funny thing, my mileage seemed to be about the same coming home with trailer as it did going down without towing...
Anybody do any more digging into the MAF sensor going bad due to K @ N FIPK... I'd like to add this but dont want to mess up my MAF... and if I understand Abendx right, no reprogramming of the chip is necessary... Is this true?
Thanks

Nothing new with the KN , I haven't had any problems with mine but I blow mine out with my air hose and let it sit over night, hopefully I won't run in to the oil on the wire problem.
As far as needing a reflash, it is not needed for KN mod.
BTW, I'm sure an air filter swap doesn't require a reprogram of the chip.
Yes, I towed a 24 foot enclosed car trailer that we used for our snowmobile race team. I could definitely tell the difference between the chip and no chip. Probably more than anything, I noticed that it didnt downshift as much going up steep hills, and here in Minnesota, we dont have "mountains" but it is hilly terrain.
I was also pleased with the throttle response while towing and the fact that the transmissions held the gears longer. Ken was right when he said it's a progressive shift topping out about 5700 rpms.
LOVE THAT CHIP....
