Where to find code

My 2001 is on the driver's door, up by the hinges, as said earlier.
It is a cheapo paper sticker about 1.25"x1.25"
Mine is already puckered up and will probably fall off in the next 12 months.
If that sticker is gone, there is one on the ECM, located inside the kick panel on the drivers side. Just pull the plastic push pin and slide it out from under the door plate. Then there is a black plastic cover that holds the ECM in there, there are 2 bolts that hold them in, take them off... then comes the
part.... go under the hood and reach behind, and below, the brake vacuum "thingy". there will be a 10mm bolt you gotta unscrew, dont worry about dropping it cuz it wont come out. Once that 10mm bolt spins freely,go back into the cab and pull the ecm out. It will have the code on it.
I dont explain things too well but this entire operation takes less than 10 minutes.... once you do it 1 time.
If you need more help, post it, I'll help. I just finished the entire chip installation process and got very familiar with the do's and the
of it all.slammer
