Post swaybar mount broken??

Hi Guys. The truck is a 1998 F-150 SC S/B 4x4 4.6 and it looks like the mount/bushing that goes from the swaybar to the lower control arm on the drivers side. I hear a clunk when driving, specifically when I'm turning corners. Is this difficult to change? Will it be OK if I drive like this for a couple of days before I fix it (in town only)? Also, any special tools needed?

Thanks!

I recently had the same thing happen. It shouldn't do much, if any damage, I drove mine for about 10 days before I fixed it. There were a couple of marks from where it was hitting the lower control arm, but it didn't do any real damage. You shouldn't need any special tools unless it's rusted solid and then you may need to cut it to get it off. I had no trouble getting the broken one off, and was planning on changing the other side too, but it was rusted, so I left it.

I had the same thing on my old 97 on both sides. I would not worry about damage to anything. They are not expensive, I think less than 20.00 (per side).
