well on my way home tonight my buddy calls me and says iam broke down and need me to tow him home. well iam thinking the truck needs the u-joints sitting in the seat real bad but what the hell its something to do right. so i show up at the place of breakage. with my 82 f-150 to hook up my buddys 88 f-250 4x4 to get him home. well regardlees all we had was a 4 1/2 foot log chain i got him to his drive way. now we jus got a decent snow with a little ice left over from the last "winter rain". not bad right? yea well it was a little worse thatn i thought. now my buddy had a pretty steep grade drive way not too long but steep. so i attempt it in 2wd well that was an absolute no go. so luckly i still had the hubs locked in from the parking lot i had to pull him out of, and instead of doing the normal thing like putting it in 4 low i grab for 4 HI put the ole' beast in 1st and go at it. well after about 2-3min of 5grand the ole' beast pulled my buddys heavy *** truck up and into the driveway. so needless to say i was pretty proud of the ole' 82. after my buddy tells me that he could hear all 8 cylinders fireing through my duals i of course asked to push his truck back down the hill to do it again. then thought hold on i just put a hell of a beating on all my u-joints. i said lets do it again after i have my new u-joints in. so needless to say it was an interesting end to a night. but would have been better if i would have had the chick i just went on a date with in the truck so yea thats my .02 on this lovely febuary night.
well the ole beast came to an end today while comming home at luch time to grag the truck due to a *** load of snow we got today my car ended up barreling through 2' of snow that some dude pushed into the already covered street nearly missing a school bus then diving into a water meter check unit (recessed into the ground about 9" the ole car came to a very stuck stop in the driveway (bald tires). so i chained it up to the ole 82 and began to pull. and guess what happend next. after the beating my u-joints took the other night they gave out. so after a couple of hours of getting my truck up the drive way and shoveling snow i had my buddy push my car into the parking spot with an ole bald 38 between his truck and my car. i decided to take tomarrow off of work to fix the ole 82 and just relax because i had too much for today.
