I've found that most people don't realize there are parking spots beside the building (at least at the ones I have been to). I can generally snag one of those and pop in the garden center entrance, which is usually right there.
when my buddy and i go the wallyworld in his 80 Caddy Hearse, rarely does somebody park in a space next to or on front of it. he has a casket with a dummy in it that he keeps the lid open in the back,
no door dings
no tail gaters
nobody (that knows its a hurst) pulls out in front of it
nobody messes with it.
Hey Dennis, is that your car parked so perfectly in that spot to the right of the “Women’s” spot?
I don't have a problem parking the F-250, ext cab, long bed. I do find it easier backing in though plus then the hitch isn't sticking out for all to hit.
I also prefer parking further out in the lot because of others that can't park. I've already had compound out a few scuffs on my car that appeared while I was in the store.
Two points for a tree, three points for getting your truck stuck in a snow pile. I tend to make my own parking spots quit a bit.
I have to agree about parking in handicapped, it's just plain stupid, sure ya have a permit but come on, one of these days you really will need it and there wont be any because everyone is parking in em, then you will be the first to complain about not having a spot.
I even take up 2 spots at the store sometimes. I try to park as far away as possible without getting a cramp while walking to the store (One of our Wal-Mart's parking lots is a good 200 yards long...)
And at school....Its the same as Bigwtx described. All the trucks park together at the back, vans & SUV's towards the middle, and the damn ricers & compacts towards the front.
I find it pretty well impossible to park close to the door at walmart. Truck is just too darn long! Parallel parking anywhere just isnt any fun either.
I usually end up dropping the better half off at the door, and try to find a spot where theres a few spaces open. Of course its almost always 1/2 mile from the door, but thats ok.
If I'm going somewhere I know its going to be busy, we just take her car.
I never pull in mall parking lots, I back in & if they're a open spot or 2 I pull up to end of spot so I can just drive out so I can see what's coming cross da parking lot esp w/ a PU or in my case E150 Van.
Been doing thing since my teens starting w/my old 65 Chevy G10 to my present 1992 van, Two things 2 remember only pull in when parking is too tight 4 no other choice & when backing in stay between the lines..Okay See Ya!
