Interesting segue. Sort of underhanded but clever nonetheless.
One interesting point of contention is that Iraq is not our neighbor. Just as you wouldn't expect me to drive around the whole neighborhood looking for domestic violence, the whole wide world is a big place to police.
I wouldn't expect anyone to drive around the neighborhood looking for violence BUT if you knew if was going on down the block does that mean you do nothing just because its down the block and not your neighbor now? My point is that in either instance you KNOW the violence is going on and you do something about it but when its part of a bigger spectrum people think we should do nothing?

Nope, not that wise, I was just basing my guess on this statement.
Okay, I need some answers to my first question before I can take this where I want to.
I will also admit that I stayed away from posting to this thread because unless I was 110% sure, I would not get involved, and I certainly wouldn't have done it directly. Given the day I'm having, I didn't feel like getting attacked for that stance.
I would first have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that abuse was happening. If it was I would take the appropriate steps. I would not barge over and burn his house down on a whim like our president did.

OK...
The much bigger issue at hand is the agent of action. If it is my neighbor or the guy down the block or in a different town, I can call the police and they can take of it. I don't need to strong arm the guy and throw him in my basement prison.
If it is another country, then as President I don't just call somebody to take of it. I need to personally deal with the situation completely.
That is the fundamental difference I alluded to in my initial post.

Oops - see you done posted it.!!!
yeah.... I like george dubbya....I think he is a Godly man that is doing as good as he can under the circumstances he's in. I support what he has done and continues to do. I think he catches way too much flack too! I think he's been great for our country and a LARGE improvement from the Clinton mess.
I don't have a problem with freeing the Iraqi people. I believe that we have a responsibility to address wrongs in the world, just as we do in our neighborhoods.
My problem, with George Bush is that he did not give that reason when he went to war with Iraq. At first it was that Iraq had WMD's. Then, when no WMD's were found, the reason's started to change.
And, I'm not voting for him. I don't care if he is from my home state.
